Extreme Heat Warning issued August 25 at 8:37PM PDT until August 28 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 45 mph. For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot
conditions with high temperatures of 92 to 102 common.

* WHERE…Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 6 AM PDT Wednesday. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS…There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness,
especially for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old,
those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors. Gusty
winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown
down and a few power outages may result.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young
children and pets in unattended vehicles. Limit strenuous activities
to early morning or evening hours. Take action when you see symptoms
of heat exhaustion.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.
