SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – On Tuesday, the City of Santa Barbara started its Short-Term Rental Enforcement Pilot Program.

The 12-month pilot program, funded by a City Council agreement from April of this year, aims to improve enforcement against illegal short-term rentals as well as gather information about the location and number of short-term rentals operating in the City.

The program will be overseen by the City Attorney's Office.

If you believe a location is being used for short-term rentals, you can contact the City's hotline at 805-897-1934 or complete an online complaint form here.
