Bishop Diego’s offense has passed the test by using two quarterbacks

Two is greater than one when it comes to quarterbacks at Bishop Diego High School.

The 12-1 Cardinals have successfully rotated quarterbacks David Gladish and Jake Engel throughout the season and Bishop Diego is one win away from capturing the school’s first CIF crown in football.

The Cardinals play Golden Valley on Friday, December 1 at 7pm for the CIF Division 6 title at Canyon High School.

The junior Engel has received the bulk of the work, passing for close to 1,200 yards with 15 touchdowns.

The senior Gladish has passed for over 400 yards with 3 touchdowns while also starting at defensive back for the Cardinals where he has four interceptions.

The dual quarterbacks have taken care of the ball for the Cardinals as they have combined for just four interceptions and none since September 15.
