Cal Poly egg drop competition returns to San Luis Obispo Farmer’s Market

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly egg drop competition returned to the downtown San Luis Obispo Farmer's Market Thursday night.

The competition was created in order to encourage sustainable packing, and competitors were asked to create a package that would protect an egg from cracking during a 20-foot drop.

Packaging materials were provided to contestants, and anyone attending the Farmer's Market was allowed to enter.
