Easter weekend brings business to Avila Beach
AVILA BEACH, Calif. - Crowds gathered at Avila Beach on Easter Sunday to enjoy the sunny weather and eat at beachfront restaurants.
One popular spot at Avila beach on Sunday was Custom House.
“This whole weekend has been extremely busy honestly," said Custom House employee, Percy Jones.
They have seen an increase in business over the weekend because of the holiday travel.
“We definitely got a lot of visitors. A lot of people from Fresno, Bakersfield, and this weekend I believe the SLO county, some of those schools are on break. So we’ve got a lot of families come through," said Custom House Manager, Trenton Dusablon.
“The reason being is because it’s been spring break for a lot of the central valley folks. And then you have to combine it with Easter too. It’s been very busy," said Percy Jones.
The warm weather motivated visitors to take a stop at the beach for their holiday weekend.
“We just had Easter service at our church so we wanted to come out here and enjoy the sun," said Santa Maria resident, Flor Souphanthavong.
“The beautiful weather, the beach, the sun, it’s nice. It’s a little cool, the drinks, the people. It’s a good day to be out here," said Paso Robles resident, Leo Martinez.
