SB Runners Raise Money for Clean Water

They have raised over fifty thousand dollars and they are not about to stop until Sunday’s run is over.

Close to forty people, many of them members of the Ocean Hills Covenant Church in Santa Barbara, are running Sunday’s Los Angeles Marathon to raise money for clean water resources for children in the Congo. Each runner is trying to raise over 1,300 dollars or fifty dollars per mile. It takes only fifty dollars for one child in the Congo to have clean water for life.

This Santa Barbara group is part of Team World Vision that will have around 900 people from Southern California running in the marathon.
