Attempted murder suspect on the loose

Oxnard police say they are on the look-out for a man considered “armed and dangerous.”

Police say Andres Rene Rodriguez shot a man in the arm last month on the 15-hundred block of Crawford Street.

The crime went unsolved until now, after witnesses identified the 29-year-old Oxnard man as the suspect.

Rodriguez has a distinctive tattoo along the hairline of his scalp.

Police say the suspect was behind bars earlier this year, but was released back in April as a “non-serious” offender.

He now has several felony warrants out for his arrest.

Police say if you see Rodriguez or know he whereabouts, you’re urged to call the Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit at (805) 385-7645. Or, if you wish to remain anonymous call the Violent Crimes Hotline at (805) 982-7070.
