Sunday Evening Forecast May 16th

Another gray day as May continues to live up to its reputation as one of our most foggy months. Some very light rain totals were recorded as the marine layer thickened up producing very light drizzle. We could see another chance for drizzle as we head through the late night and in to early Monday. Temperatures on Monday should remain on the cool side with the expected thick cloud cover. Look for highs to be mostly in the 60's with even a few upper 50's possible for some beach communities.

Looking ahead, high pressure will slowly build by late Monday and in to Tuesday. This should help bring better afternoon clearing and maybe some gusty northerly winds which we will need to keep a close eye on. While the marine layer should loosen its grip, it will likely remain in the forecast through much of the work week. We then see even better clearing with more sunshine as we head in to next weekend. Temperatures will stay cool, then turn more seasonal and even slightly above normal by next weekend.
