Los Padres Natl Forest: Lopez Fire 100% contained

The Los Padres National Forest has announced the full containment of the Lopez Fire burning in San Luis Obispo County.

The 220 acre fire started September 21 near Lopez Lake. Fire investigators determined that an improperly extinguished campfire started it.

The Los Padres National Forest continues to have resources in the area snuffing out hotspots. However, officials say the fire is no longer a threat to adjacent areas.
