Near normal temperatures across the region will continue through midweek, as well as overnight through morning low clouds along the coast and into adjacent valleys. A more significant warming trend is expected to occur at the end of the week as another round of record heat is expected over the holiday weekend.
Monday low clouds cleared off the coast south of Point Conception byearly this afternoon, while low clouds lingered at the beaches along the Central Coast. Otherwise, sunny skies covered the region, with little change expected for the rest of the day. Expecting breezy conditions in the afternoon.
Little change in the overall weather pattern can be expected through Wednesday over the forecast area, with night and morning low clouds and fog across the coast and adjacent valleys, otherwise mostly clear skies will continue. There will continue to be breezy conditions each evening. A gradual warming trend can also be expected through the period, with highs a few degrees above normal for many areas away from the coast by Wednesday afternoon.
A more significant warming trend is expected to start Thursday as another round of record heat is expected over the holiday weekend. This will bring highs over the weekend into the 80s to 90s along the coast and triple digits inland under mostly sunny skies
