Sunday Evening Forecast Aug 30th
We enjoyed a very quiet day weather-wise. A moderate onshore flow remains in firm control over much of the Pacific Coast with patchy fog and seasonal temperatures. Look for more fog for the overnight along the coast and even in to the valleys for some. Temperatures will be mostly in the 60's. For Monday, the morning clouds should give way to mostly sunny skies and another great day. Highs will be mostly in the 60's and 70's near the coast with 80's and 90's farther inland.
Looking ahead, our mild steady onshore flow will hold through about the middle of the work week. That means more of the same beautiful weather as we transition from August to September. However, high pressure will rebuild across the West Coast and that means another warm up will develop as we head in to Labor Day weekend. There is still some question as to how warm it will get as computer models are still seeing some variability in forecast runs. Either way, it will likely get much warmer and Heat Advisories/Warnings could be issued once again. Â In addition, tropical moisture could also be drawn up from the south late next week and that's always something we keep a close eye on. So, enjoy the mild and beautiful weather before the heat returns. We will keep a close eye on the extended forecast and update any changes ahead.
