Saturday Evening Forecast August 22
Another smoky and ver warm day! Current advisories include, air quality and flash flood watches. We will see a slow improvement with regard to all weather concerns, but it will be a slow process. For the overnight and in to Sunday, look for patchy fog along the coast, smoky skies and more chances for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 60's and 70's near the coast. Inland areas will go back up in to the 80's and 90's. Looking ahead, remnant moisture will slowly dry up as we head in to next week and that should help reduce humidity. We will see gradually cooler weather for all areas, but things will stay on the warm side through much of next week. Smoke will likely remain a concern as the fires rage all around California. We will monitor closely each day and advise you of any official advisories. For now, we should see the current air quality advisory expire by about Monday or Tuesday. We will also be monitoring very closely the likelihood of two Tropical systems affecting the Gulf Coast! Very unusual and possibly very destructive back to back systems early next week! WOW!
