Nipomo organizations continue to seek community support to give families in need Christmas celebration
The Nipomo Noel Community Spirit Committee is working around the clock to help give families in need a special Christmas celebration.
But time is running out.
“Families that may be challenged economically may not be able to Christmas. So we want to provide a special celebration for them.” said organizer Aaron Meloncon.
BStrongLife is one of of several groups helping to provide a special Christmas celebration for families in need.
“What we are doing as a partner is hosting on our website a place to select a student age and school and select a present to buy for these students.,” said organizer Kathleen Hernandez.
Organizers say one of the highlights to this opportunity is that it's bringing people from every sector of the community together.
“We want to make sure everybody feels included to strengthen our ties,” said Meloncon.
Employees of the Lucia Mar Unified School District are also working with several local church organizations to provide a christmas tree, gifts, dinner with Santa and more.
But with only a few weeks until the event set during the first week of December, organizers are welcoming your help in supporting the first annual Nipomo Noel Family Evening event.
The event will take place at Edward's Barn at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5th.
