CHP locates family of man who was seriously injured in Santa Paula crash
SANTA PAULA, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol said Tuesday night that they have located the family of a man who was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while riding a skateboard near Santa Paula.
Authorities had asked for help in locating the family Tuesday afternoon.
Last week, the 20-year-old man who was riding a skateboard was struck by a vehicle near Santa Paula.
The man suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Originally identified as a "John Doe," he has now been identified as Eduardo Cardel Hernandez.
Hernandez suffered serious head injuries and remains hospitalized.
