Monday evening forecast
Santa Barbara, Calif. - We began the week with plenty of sunshine and air that felt more spring-like than winter-like. The gusty wind we had Sunday continued today for many parts of the California Central Coast and South Coast, but that will subside for most areas tonight. We can expect a mostly clear to clear sky with overnight lows ranging from the upper 30s to the lower 50s.
The ridge delivering the warm, bright weather will only get stronger Tuesday and Wednesday and we will have a continued warming trend. Thursday may be the warmest day of the week despite increasing clouds. A trough of low pressure will move our way Friday and Saturday with cooler air and more clouds, and there is a slight chance for showers Sunday and Monday.
Overnight lows will gradually warm through the weekend before cooling with the passage of the next trough Sunday and Monday. Valleys: 30s and lower 40s. Coasts: 40s and lower 50s. Daytime highs will warm through Thursday before cooling this weekend and early next week, with Sunday being the coolest. HIghs will fall from the 70s and lower 80s back mainly to the 60s.
