Brent Bischoff Arrested for Allegedly Contacting Children For Sex Crimes Tuesday

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Brent Bischoff, 37, of Simi Valley was arrested Tuesday for felony unlawful contact with a child to commit a sex crime among other charges and investigators believe more survivors may still come forward.

On Sep. 22, around 1:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Vons Shopping Center at 4241 Tierra Rejada Road for a reported man, later identified as 37-year-old Brent Bischoff, in a sport utility vehicle offering children money for work and making "vulgar" comments stated a press release Wednesday from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly after sending deputies to the scene, another call came in detailing similar circumstances at the Grocery Outlet Shopping Center at 425 West Los Angeles Road added the law enforcement agency.

Witnesses at the second incident provided a description of the suspect and one was able to share a license plate to law enforcement shared the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies used automated license plate reader technology and internal databases to locate the involved vehicle and took Bischoff into custody in connection noted the local sheriff's office.

Bischoff was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on multiple counts including pandering or soliciting for sexual offenses, contacting or attempting to contact a minor with the intent to commit a crime, and child annoyance relayed the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, Bischoff is being held on at least a $500,000 bail related to a felony charge of unlawful contact with a child with intent to commit a sex crime and he is currently scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 24, 2026.

Following his arrest, additional survivors have come forward with allegations and investigators believe additional survivors who had contact with Bischoff may still be out there explained the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
