Evacuation warnings issued in northern SLO County for Plaskett Fire

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – The San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services issued evacuation warnings in northern parts of the county due to the Plaskett Fire.

The areas south of the SLO County Boundary, North of Carpoforo Creek and Via Piedras Blancas, West of Green Canyon and East of the Pacific Ocean are all under warnings as of 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

The Plaskett Fire first ignited around 11:00 a.m. Sunday and is burning over 8,000 acres as of 3:00 p.m. Sunday, according to CAL FIRE.
