Oxnard Man Hospitalized After Stabbing in Ventura Monday Morning

VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – A 58-year-old Oxnard man is in stable condition after being stabbed Monday morning.

On Aug. 24, around 10:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to a stabbing victim in the 200 block of North Ventura Avenue stated a press release Monday from the Ventura Police Department.

According to Ventura Police, the stabbing victim, later identified as a 58-year-old Oxnard man, had life-threatening injuries at the scene and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he remains in stable condition.

Detectives have been able to determine at this point in their investigation that the suspect and the 58-year-old know each other and they do not believe there is any threat to the broader community shared the local law enforcement agency.

The investigation into the incident remains open and anyone with more information is asked to contact Sergeant Fabian Gutierrez of the Ventura Police Department's Major Crime Unit at 805-339-4428.
