Firefighters Successfully Put Out Residential Fire on Dorothy Street Wednesday

PASO ROBLES, Calif. (KEYT) – Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire on Dorothy Street caused by an electric fan exhaust on Wednesday.

On Aug. 12, around 4:55 p.m., first responders were dispatched for a fire at a home in the 1200 block of Dorothy Street stated a press release Thursday from the City of Paso Robles.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames in the bathroom of the single-story, single-family home and were able to keep the fire from spreading to the attic and living areas detailed Paso Robles.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported during the response added the City of Paso Robles.

According to Paso Robles, a total of 19 firefighters participated in the response with assistance from the local police department and San Luis Ambulance Services as well San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

The fire was caused by an electric exhaust fan and residents are reminded to make sure they have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors where they live shared the City of Paso Robles.
