Sherman Oaks Man Dies After Crashing into Tree on Westlake Boulevard Wednesday

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KEYT) – A 55-year-old Sherman Oaks man driving a Cobalt Security Services vehicle died after colliding with a tree on Westlake Boulevard early Wednesday.

On Aug. 5, around 4:23 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Westlake Boulevard, north of Cascade Avenue for an injury-involved traffic collision stated a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

An initial investigation revealed that the driver, later identified as a 55-year-old Sherman Oaks man, was northbound on Westlake Boulevard when the vehicle drove onto a center median and into a tree detailed the local sheriff's office.

First responders used life-saving measures at the scene before the driver was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center where the 55-year-old died shortly after arrival shared the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
