Two Men Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds After Fight at San Diego Road Home Sunday

ATASCADERO, Calif. (KEYT) – Two men were transported with gunshot wounds after a fight ended in a shooting on San Diego Road Sunday evening.

On Aug. 2, around 7:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance involving gunfire in the 9100 block of San Diego Road stated a press release Monday from the Atascadero Police Department.

Arriving officers found two men, each with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and both were transported by ambulance to Sierra Vista Hospital for further medical treatments shared the local police department.

Investigators learned that both men had been involved in a physical altercation inside a residence and during the fight, one of the men used a handgun to fire at least two shots while the duo were in close proximity to one another detailed the Atascadero Police Department.

Detectives do not believe there is any outstanding threat to the community and they are continuing their investigation into the incident noted the local law enforcement agency.
