Vegetation fire burns 6.5 acres in Santa Ynez

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews fully contained a 6.5-acre vegetation fire at the 3700 block of Mattei Road in Santa Ynez.

The fire broke out just before 3:00 p.m. on Monday and crews put it out just before 3:30, according to the SBCFD.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation though no injuries were reported, according to the SBCFD.

The public is still advised to avoid the area for mop-up duty and more information on the fire will be provided as it becomes available to Your News Channel.
