Driver transported with moderate to major injuries after single-vehicle crash on Highway 46

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – A driver was transported with moderate to major injuries after a single-vehicle crash on westbound State Route 46 east of Templeton Monday.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, the driver had to be helped from the vehicle which ended up about 200 feet off the westbound side of State Route 46.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle added the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

A helicopter was used to transport the patient who had moderate to major injuries after the collision explained the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

Drivers looking to use Highway 46 were warned they could hit some delays, but as of 5:15 p.m., traffic was flowing despite the traffic control in the area shared the California Highway Patrol-Templeton Area.
