Southbound lanes of Highway 101 at Fairview Avenue reopened after tree fall Monday

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Multiple lanes of southbound Highway 101, south of Fairview Avenue, were closed Monday after a large eucalyptus tree fell across the roadway blocking all southbound lanes and the northbound fast lane.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, there were no reported injuries at the scene and the blocked northbound lane was reopened around 11 a.m. with two southbound lanes reopened about half-an-hour later.
The California Highway Patrol was diverting southbound drivers at the Fairview Avenue exit and closed the southbound on-ramp at Fairview Avenue to motorists as part of the response.

Motorists were asked to find an alternate route and to exercise caution while driving in the area added Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
