Sunday evening forecast Jan 26th
Another spectacular, yet dry, January day and the last Saturday of the month! High pressure continues to hold all Pacific moisture well to our north with only a very slight chance for much needed rain in our region.
So for tonight, look for a very slight chance for a sprinkle or two and winds will be gusty from the north below passes and canyons. A Wind Advisory is in effect until for portions of Santa Barbara County until early Monday.Overnight lows will be mostly in the 40's.
For Monday, skies will be mostly clear and sunny with highs in the 60's to near 70-degrees. Breezy and occasionally gusty north to northeast winds are also expected.
Looking ahead, as we get ready to say goodbye to January and hello to February, the persistent dry pattern will likely hold in place. This is getting to be a bit of a concern after starting out nicely in November and December. Our rain gauges need some work and at this time we just don't see any significant pattern changes where Pacific storms head our Way! Let's hope the long range changes soon. In the meantime, enjoy the mild and even warm weather as next week looks phenomenal! Highs will bounce from the 60's and 70' pretty much all week with even a few upper 70's and low 80's possible!
