Deadline extended for community input on SMJUHSD’s Superintendent search

The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District is looking for input from the community about what they would like to see in their next Superintendent.

The district would input on things like, what kind of leadership the community is looking for, what skills would you want to see in that position, as well as the strengths and challenges of the district.

There is an online survey available on the district’s website. The original deadline to fill out the survey was Friday, but it has now been extended to Sunday, September 1st.

The submitted answers will be used in the decision-making process. The search committee will begin interviewing candidates in November. The goal is to hire a new superintendent by January 2020.
