Ending the month of May with mild temperatures

Happy last day of May! Dense fog will impact your morning commute if you're headed towards Santa Ynez and Gaviota. Fog and clouds will clear in a similar fashion to yesterday and temperatures begin to warm. High pressure continues to park over Southern California created hot and dry conditions inland and warmer temperatures near the beaches. The marine layer will cause beaches to warm into the middle to upper 60s while the interior warms once again into the 70s, 80s and even 90s! Get outside and enjoy!

June Gloom begins Saturday morning and clouds may clear slower by the coasts. Most of the area should see sunny skies and warm temperatures by the evening. Onshore flow and a weak system up to the north will cause a slight cooling trend but only within a few degrees. Winds will be breezy at times but not up to advisory levels.

It will be a picture perfect weekend for the beach, especially Sunday as temperatures finally warm back into the 70s in Santa Barbara! The extended forecast looks beautiful as another stronger area of high pressure arrives and warms the Central Coast back into the 70s, 80s and 90s! Some places right outside of our coverage area will be back into the triple digits. It will be feeling like summer as we move into the first week of June!
