Chance of rain returns Thursday

After a temporary break from the wet weather, there is much more rain ahead for the rest of the week and into the holiday weekend. Scattered showers are expected on Thursday and Friday. More clouds return to the region later this evening. The rain arrives early Thursday morning and lingers over much of the region for the majority of the day.

Even though there is rain in the forecast for the next two days, the next significant storm arrives on Saturday. Measurable rain is expected from the combination of storm systems that is in the forecast for the next week.

Temperatures temporarily warmed on Wednesday, but will cool again on Thursday, with highs primarily in the 50s and 60s for both coastal and inland communities. Rain and cool temperatures will prevail for the rest of the week.
