Tuesday morning forecast May 26th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - We can expect large differences in the weather around the California Central Coast and South Coast the next couple days depending upon where you live. The marine layer will bring relative comfort to the coasts, but high pressure will deliver sunshine and heat to our inland valleys. Highs will range from near 70 along the coasts to the 90s and 100s inland.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for the interior valleys of San Luis Obispo County through Thursday due to the potential for temperatures in the 90s and 100s. Coastal areas can expect morning clouds and afternoon sun. A trough of low pressure will move over California Friday and this weekend, bringing more clouds and much cooler weather through early next week.

Daytime highs will decrease for everyone from now through the first day of June, but it will vary very little near the coasts, and will vary greatly in our interior valleys. Coastal highs will cool from the lower 70s to the mid 60s by next week. Coastal valleys will cool from the lower and 80s to the lower 70s. Inland valleys will cool from the 90s and 100s to the mid 70s.
