Santa Barbara's Conner Coffin retires from competitive surfing.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - After his final heat in competitive surfing Conner Coffin got a sweet ride once he got out of the water.

He was chaired up the beach and was celebrated by his family and friends.

The 30-year old Santa Barbara surfer was eliminated in the round of 32 at the US Open of Surfing.

His best season on the Championship Tour was in 2021 when he finished in fourth place.

He said he is looking forward to traveling and getting some good waves.

Coffin is also getting married and is looking forward to starting a family in the near future.
