SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The bats are alive and well for the Santa Barbara Foresters.

After scoring 3 or fewer runs in their last three games, the Foresters busted out in a big way as they routed the MLB Academy Barons 16-0 at Pershing Park.

Santa Clara infielder Eamonn Lance was the star as he hit two home runs including a grand slam and drove in 7 runs.

He had a run-scoring double in the first inning and followed with the Foresters first grand slam of the season in the second inning.

Max Belyeu went deep right after Lance's shot for back-to-back home runs.

The Foresters led 9-0 after two innings.

Lance finished with 2 home runs, 7 RBI, 4 runs scored and 3 hits.

The Foresters had 19 hits overall as they improved to 16-5 on the season and 13-5 in the CCL.

Same two teams will meet on Saturday in Compton.
