Jaime Jaquez Jr. scored 22 points in his NBA Summer League debut.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Jaime Jaquez Jr shook off a slow start and shined in his NBA Summer League debut.

The first round draft pick of the Miami Heat led all players with 22 points in a 107-90 romp over the Los Angeles Lakers on the first day of the California Classic in Sacramento.

The Camarillo High School graduate and former UCLA star missed his first few shots but a transition dunk early in the second quarter quickly got him back on his game.

He had 13 second quarter points as the Heat built up a 58-40 lead at the break.
