Team USA finishes 3-game series against Canada with a win in Goleta

Team USA defeated Canada 15-7 in women's water polo in Goleta.

GOLETA, Calif.- Maggie Steffens scored four goals while Maddie Musselman added three as the USA Women's Senior National water polo team pulled away in the second half to complete a 3-game series sweep over Canada 15-7.

The final game of the series came to Dos Pueblos High School where two current team members, sisters Jamie Nueshul and Ryann Neushul starred for the Chargers during their prep careers.

San Marcos alum Paige Hauschild was also playing in her backyard and she scored a first-half goal for Team USA.

Although they did not sell tickets there was a big crowd to watch this high-level water polo game.

Team USA led 6-5 at half and came out and scored three quick goals to take control of the game.

They led 12-7 after three quarters.
