Andy Gil steps down as head basketball coach at Cate

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Eight is enough.

Andy Gil is stepping away from the Cate High School boys basketball program after 8 successful seasons as head coach.

Gil has a young family and wants to spend more time with them.

He led the Rams to three CIF-SS Quarterfinal appearances and ends his time there with a 94-51 record.
