San Marcos girls basketball outlasts Santa Barbara in overtime for a rare win over the Dons

Ariel Plourde led San Marcos to their first win over Santa Barbara since 2008 as they prevailed in overtime 56-52.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Ariel Plourde nailed a three-pointer to force overtime and San Marcos went on to defeat Santa Barbara 56-52 for their first victory over the Dons since 2008.

Plourde scored a team-high 21 points.

Santa Barbara freshman Elle Stone tallied a game-high 26 points.
