Rinaldi sets another school record in 100m as Carpinteria hosts CIF-SS D4 Track and Field Final won by Oaks Christian

Carpinteria High School hosted the CIF-SS Division 4 Track & Field Championship

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Vincent Rinaldi broke his own Carpinteria High School record in the 100 meters sprint but he had to settle for second place in both the 100 and 200m behind Serra record-setting sophomore Roderick Pleasant.

Pleasant set CIF-SS Division 4 Final records in both the 100 and 200m with winning times of 10.46 seconds and 21.02 seconds.

The senior Rinaldi set a personal-best time of 10.71 in the 100m

His second place time in the 200m of 21.58 seconds was 100th off his school record.

On the girls side senior Jahzara Richardson helped Oaks Christian High School win the overall team title.

The Cal-bound Richardson won the 100m(12 seconds), 200m(24.62 seconds) and was part of the Lions winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay races.

Like the girls, Oaks Christian also won the boys team title.

Clara McDonald of Bishop Diego won the girls shot put with a distance of 36-2.5
