Pacifica football players get their championship rings
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Pacifica High School had to call an audible but their football players have their championship rings.
The coronavirus pandemic put an end to any team gathering so the school held a pick-up location to distribute their 2019 CIF State Division 2-A bowl game championship rings.
Tritons coaches handed out the rings to the players who either walked up or drove up to get their coveted gem.
Pacifica became the first public school in Ventura County to win a state football championship by dominating McClymonds of Oakland 34-6 last December.
