SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Oscar Rojas dominated on the mound and in the classroom at Lompoc High School.

The star pitcher gets to continue his baseball journey in the Ivy League as he will pitch at Yale University.

Rojas was selected as the Pitcher of the Year for the Los Padres League as a sophomore in 2018.

The next season the Braves switched to the Channel League but Rojas was named Pitcher of the Year as a junior.

He started off the Channel League in 2020 with a 3-hit complete game and struck out 11 batters in a 5-1 win over rival Cabrillo.

The season was soon canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rojas enjoyed his time at Lompoc but says it will be a dream come true to take the mound for the Yale Bulldogs.
