Dons baseball finish preseason with a win over Calabasas

Dons defeat Calabasas 7-4

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Cal Poly-commit Bryce Warrecker pitched five innings of shutout ball as Santa Barbara held on for a 7-4 victory over Calabasas.

The Dons were one out away from a shutout but an error allowed the Coyotes to score four unearned runs but Santa Barbara moved to 5-1 with the victory.

Santa Barbara scored four runs in the second inning. Oliver McGibben had an RBI single to score Ty Montgomery with the first run.

UCSB-commit Nick Oakley added a 2-run single. Anthony Firestone, who had 2 hits in the game, plated Oakley with an a sacrifice fly.

Santa Barbara added 3 runs in the sixth inning.

The Dons host San Marcos on Friday, March 6 to open up Channel League play.
