San Marcos water polo defeats Orange Lutheran
GOLETA, Calif.- The San Marcos Royals overcame a slow start to beat the visiting Orange Lutheran Lancers 10-8 in a good CIF-Southern Section Division 1 matchup.
The Lancers scored the first three goals of the game but Cassidy Miller quickly brought the Royals back with three consecutive goals.
Maddie Sparre gave San Marcos their first lead of the game at 4-3. Miller scored early in the second quarter on a penalty shot and San Marcos went on for the victory.
Miller led the way with 5 goals as San Marcos improves to 15-5 on the season.
Goalie Zosia Amberger stopped 10 shots for the Royals.
