PALM DESERT, Calif. - Deacon Hill threw four touchdown passes, two to Dakota Hill and Santa Barbara outlasted Palm Desert 42-32 in a CIF-SS Division 8 quarterfinal game.

The Golden Tornado will play at Palmdale next week in the semifinals as the Falcons won at Aliso Niguel 13-12.

The Wisconsin-commit Deacon Hill played his finest game on the varsity level. The junior was 18-of-25 for 361 yards and also ran for a touchdown.

Santa Barbara led 21-17 at halftime and built up a 35-17 lead early in the fourth quarter.

But Palmdale scored 15 points in about a three minute span to close the gap to 35-32 with 2:38 to play.

But on fourth and 11 on the Palmdale 24-yard line, Deacon Hill connected with Dakota Hill(no relation) for a game-sealing touchdown with just over one minute remaining.

Santa Barbara is now 10-2 on the year and more importantly into the semifinals.
