Girl power! San Marcos has 8 female student-athletes sign

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Eight student-athletes at San Marcos High School participated in a signing ceremony to play sports in college and all eight are females.

Five of them are standouts on the girls water polo team.

Claire Kronen and Cassidy Miller sign with UCLA, Megan Musick is headed to Cal, Hannah Meyer commits to USC and Ella Prentice chooses Harvard.

Softball players Claire Early and Morgan Jensen sign with Cal Poly and Holy Cross respectively.

Beach volleyball player Ellie Gamberdella is off to Stanford.
