Gauchos pull away in second half and crush Northridge 72-52
UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Gauchos used a 13-0 run in the second half to grab the lead and take control in a Big West victory over Cal State Northridge.
The Matadors took a brief 38-36 lead when the Gauchos answered back with the three-point shot.
Calvin Wishart put UCSB up 39-38 with a long-range jumper and Cole Anderson followed with back-to-back three-pointers from the baseline.
He scored 11 points off the bench for the Gauchos who improved to 6-1 in league and 15-3 overall.
Ajay Mitchell tallied 14 of his team-high 18 points in the first half as UCSB led 34-29 at the break.
Miles Norris scored 17 points with 4 blocks for UCSB .
