Ajay Mitchell led UCSB to a 61-50 win over Appalachian State.

PHOENIX, Az. - Sophomore Ajay Mitchell scored a game-high 22 points as UCSB rallied from a 7-point second half deficit to beat Appalachian State 61-50 at the Jerry Colangelo Classic.

Miles Norris added 17 points as the Gauchos finish the non-conference season at 9-2.

UCSB plays at Cal State Fullerton on December 29 in the Big West opener for both teams.
