Gauchos land shooting guard Cole Anderson from Clovis West

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Cole Anderson had offers from schools in the Pac-12, Mountain West, WCC and plenty of others but he is headed to UCSB and the Big West.

The 6'3 junior guard will join his sister Megan Anderson who recently transferred from San Jose State and will join the UCSB women's basketball team. Both will play for UCSB starting in the 2021-2022 season.

Cole Anderson was an All-State performer this past season and had offers from San Diego State, Washington State, University of San Francisco, Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly and plenty of others.

But he told KEYT that he is comfortable with Gauchos head basketball coach Joe Pasternack and his staff and knew UCSB is where he wanted to play.

His parents went to Cal Poly and his older sister Emily played basketball for the Mustangs.
