UCSB beats Cal Poly again to open up Big West play.

UCSB beats Cal Poly in Big West opener 63-45.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- JaQuori McLaughlin hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points and UC Santa Barbara beat Cal Poly 63-45 for its sixth win in a row.

After starting the season 1-3, UCSB is now 12-4 and starts off the Big West Conference with a road victory.

Amadou Sow added 13 points for UCSB. The Gauchos shot 51.1% overall, hit 7 of 14 from 3-point range and never trailed.

Colby Rogers led the Mustangs with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting, hitting 4 of 7 from 3-point range.

The rest of the Cal Poly players shot 21.6% overall and made just 1 of 12 from behind the arc.

UCSB has beaten their rival five times in a row and has won 12 of their last 13 versus Cal Poly.
