Gauchos overcome slow start to beat Southern
UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Jaquori McLaughlin scored a game-high 24 points and Amadou Sow added 23 as the Gauchos recovered from a sluggish start to beat Southern University 77-68.
McLaughlin, Brandon Cyrus and Devearl Ramsey hit three pointers late in the game to turn a one point lead into a 69-59 advantage.
UCSB has won 7 of their last eight games to improve to 8-4.
Southern, which led 34-26 at the half, drops to 3-10 on the season.
