Ben Roach and UCSB soccer have advanced to NCAA Tournament quarterfinals

UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Big game Ben Roach and the Gauchos defense has been top notch in the playoffs as unseeded UCSB has crashed the party at the NCAA Tournament.

The Gauchos will play at #4 Wake Forest on Saturday in a quarterfinal game. UCSB is the lone unseeded team in the Elite Eight.

Santa Barbara's defense is leading the way as they have given up just one total goal in their three playoff wins.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ben Roach out of Santa Barbara High School has not had to make a ton of saves but in each playoff game he has made a couple of beautiful ones.

Back in high school he led the Dons to a CIF-SS Division 1 championship in his senior year.

Now the Gauchos are one win away from making the Final Four.
