Kayla Day completes an impressive comeback to win a first round qualifier for Wimbledon.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Trailing 5-2 in the third set and down two breaks, Kayla Day kept fighting and completed an impressive comeback to beat Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 in a first round qualifier at Wimbledon.

The 23-year old from Santa Barbara will next face 37-year old SuWei Hseih in the second round.

Three qualifying wins earns an automatic berth into the main draw at Wimbledon that begins on July 3.
