Ventura County Fair preps underway in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif-Preparations are underway for the 2023 Ventura County Fair.

Volunteers said they got a late start due to the successful X Games.

They accepted baked goods on Monday morning that were judged in the afternoon.

They will go on display with ribbons in the Home Arts Building.

Crews are almost done setting up rides at the fairgrounds in Ventura.

The Country Fair with the Ocean Air opens Wednesday at noon and runs through Aug. 13.
